Jones Youth Roundball Instructional Camp, Inc.

    Roger Jones is the President and Founder of the Jones Youth Roundball Instructional Camp organization.

    I'm a current employee at Dobbs Youth Development Center in Kinston, N.C. I have been employed there for 18½ years, so I'm familiar with today's troubled youth. I'm also head boy's basketball coach at Savannah Middle School. I have three young adults (children); two boys and one girl. My joy in working with young people started years ago, and that's why it's a calling for me to help our young men of today. I'm a true sports fan of mostly all sports, basketball being my specialty.
    I have lived in Kinston, N.C. throughout my entire life. I attended Savannah and Contentnea Schools and later finished High School at North Lenoir. After a couple of years of College I had the opportunity to decide if I wanted to play basketball in England; however, because of an unfortunate knee injury, that dream was cut short. With my dream failing, I realized I could maybe help someone else accomplish their dream whether in sports or anything they may choose.
